EDUCATION AND TRAINING ORIENTING MISSION
- Develop and Disseminate leading edge education and training modules in aspects of hospital and healthcare administration and management education.
- Continuously increase and enhance the capacity of training providers in these fields to bring the uniformity in training standards in country.
- To continuously upgrade and provide continuing medical education and management development training program to hospital administrators of Indian subcontinent.
- Assist Public, Social as well as Corporate Healthcare Sectors with executive education programs.
RESEARCH –ORIENTINTED MISSION
- Stimulate important applied and theoretical research in the areas of hospital administration and health management.
- Enhance understanding of how to develop managerial infrastructure in complex delivery systems
- Encourage partnership with other departments including clinical and administrative departments in their own research.
- Involve Hospital Administration students in applied Healthcare industry research projects with public as well as private healthcare providers.
- Disseminate research on health care management and allied aspects to interested Government, public, business, academic, professional, and social communities.
- Serve as collaborative forum whereby outside healthcare provider organizations and international health agencies eg. WHO can engage in research dialogue and healthcare management related educational services.
- Sponsor AIIMS guided research investigations in areas chosen by AIIMS in outside healthcare organizations.
- Provide rapid response research for public as well as social and corporate partners.
- Sponsor research studies by Hospital management students in other public organizations and gain early recruiting advantage.
HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES ORIENTED MISSION
- Develop more multidisciplinary approaches to management of hospital and healthcare facilities within the Institute and pool faculty expertise across disciplines.
- Serve as nodal centre for hospitals and healthcare facilities in country to access expertise of AIIMS faculty in diverse disciplines.
- Serve as conduit for hospitals and healthcare facilities in country to access learning and consultancy for creation, organization and development of facilities.
HUMAN RESOURSES DEVELOPMENT-ORIENTED MISSION
- Serve as a nodal point for continuous training and skills up gradation for human resources strengthening at AIIMS to all kinds of staff including Faculty, Nurses and Paramedical staff, supportive and administrative staff and students.
- Serve as centre for New Employee Induction Training Programmers to all cadres of staff as above.
- Serve as nodal point for similar kinds of training to all institutions coming under PMSSY incl. six new AIIMS like institutions so as to establish similar standards of care.

In addition, the RFHHA envisions that it will be an exemplar in eliminating health infrastructure disparities and in finding solutions through research and public healthcare administration programs for related problems disproportionately found in disadvantaged communities, both in this nation and abroad.

The Principal objectives of the proposed RFHHA are outlined below:
- To function as a scientific body encouraging and assisting research as well as all such activities that are likely to benefit art and science of profession of hospital and healthcare administration and management in Indian subcontinent.
- To create a multidisciplinary nodal point for Hospital Administration to generate ideas, advance explorations, set priorities, and manage Center-related activities.
- To conduct research and evaluation activities related to teacher quality and student achievement.
- To develop and model state-of-the-art health human resources programs for AIIMS and AIIMS like institutions.
- To serve as nodal centre for academic collaborations and research program in the field of Education, Research and Training in Hospital and Healthcare Administration with international institutions of repute.
- To serve as nodal centre for academic collaborations with institutions for developing guidelines for health care facility Designing.
- To attract researchers in the field of Hospital and Healthcare Administration from all over Indian subcontinent.
- To serve as a national clearinghouse for information dissemination on healthcare management related activities.
- To create a national repository of published and unpublished reference material in the field of hospital and healthcare administration and allied fields.
Other Objectives
- To serve as a centre for capacity-building for administrative cadres of national health projects and state health medical cadres.
- To serve as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Administrative Health/Hospital related Projects e.g. Patient Safety, Safe Hospitals and other projects.
- To serve as a Collaborating Centre for Administrative Projects related to healthcare with other international organizations e.g. WORLD BANK for Health Financing; UNDP, SIDA, DANIDA for Human Resources Development.
- To provide demonstration, outreach, and technical assistance programs for other healthcare organizations.
- Develop synergies with other institutions involved in healthcare management
- To provide consultancy services on diverse areas like newer healthcare facility planning and management , healthcare registries planning and innovation , healthcare HRM , disaster management , hospital equipment planning and management , healthcare Financing and insurance product development. Foundation will provide help in capacity building and developing newer healthcare facilities in the regions.
- To award travel grants, prizes, certificates of merit and/or appreciation and other inducements for distinguished service or research publications in the field of Hospital Administration.
- To maintain a list of eminent members engaged in research and teaching in the field of hospital administration to be designated as `FACULTY EMERITUS OF THE RFHHA ' so as to avail their assistance for fulfilling the aims and objectives.
